This video is a break down of what I thought to be common concerns when it comes to the carnivore diet, recently popularized by Jordan Peterson & His daughter Mikhaila Peterson. Some might call it “extreme” or “dangerous” or “a really bad idea,” but is it? Many people are having several health conditions healed by eating this diet, some are having improvements despite having been doing a paleo diet or keto diet.

People are having relief from arthritis, psoriasis, and various inflammatory conditions, and yes they are experiencing weight loss too.

But what about nutrients? Isn’t a lack of vitamin C going to give them all scurvy? What about constipation due to no fiber? And why would cutting out plants heal people? This is what the video addresses.

    The studies you linked look at modern inuit , making them irrelevant: [pubmed/18457208 pubmed/12535749 pubmed/19800772 pubmed/20548980] For the studies to be relevant, they would need to be looking at Inuit before Westernization, i.e. 1910 or earlier, and maybe much earlier than that. Amber O'Hearn pointed out that as early as 1857, Inuit in Greenland had had Flour and Sugar introduced to their diet.
    [1] The first study looks at at Inuit from 1989-2003
    [2] The second is a study from 2003, what time period the data is coming from is unclear, but it's very unlikely it comes from early 1900's.
    [3] The data is from 2000-2004
    [4] Data is from 2009 or 2010.

  2. Another correction or clarification. It's incorrect to say that generally plants don't want to be eaten given that many plants create the fruits and vegetables we eat as their method of dispersing seed. Plants are actually selective however; so perhaps it is no mistake that certain plants have evolved toxicity for creatures who cannot pass their seeds through their digestive system for intact. Thoughts?

Your information seems intersting and I like the presentation but I have to object to something here… at 7:28(ish) you mention the pathetically small sample size for this study and yet are touting the results and I honestly loathe when medical doctors publish on such flimsy numbers. Had it been something more along the lines of 6,300 I'd be dumping my bran flakes in the compost bin. Study size matters, and if I had the time and was better at researching medical studies myself I would be checking it for p-hacking as the claims seem a bit too "miraculous". Since you seem to be focused on health and wellness, and I'm kind of new to your channel I will look for this but I'd also like to pipe in with an embarrassing admission… I don't make enough to feed myself regularly so I have to depend on food banks for a humiliatingly large portion of my diet. I wonder if you have ever covered food banks and the various benefits and hindrances found in there. I ask this because I used to live in Seattle, where one food bank The Chicken Soup Brigade, served meals based on your living and cooking status. If you had a stove and refrigerator you would get FFV where as when I was living out of my car at the time they had "heater meals" which were packets that could be submerged in a pouch of boiling water to cook up (think MRE from the military), along with your standard canned goods as well. Now that I live in Salt Lake City, there seems to be less FFV available and more of your standard just canned goods with the occasional frozen packaged meats. Have you ever looked into food banks?

  4. Theres an entire community of people who eat exclusively raw meat. Look up Aajonus Vonderplanitz, Sv3rige (youtuber), Derek Nance, or the online raw meat forum. Many people thrive eating raw meat and never get sick from parasites bc they buy healthy animals. Derek Nance has been eating only raw animals for 9+ years. He recently did an interview on 'Primal Edge Health's' youtube channel. Hes also done interviews with Vice. He eats raw intestine even, where all the parasites are, and he never gets sick and has been doing this for nearly a decade. Plus, many tribes eat raw meat reguarly. Also, many people eat what is called ''high' meat, aka rotten meat, covered in mold and bacteria, and yet people who have built up their immune systems and eat this stuff regularly (there are many people on youtube that you can watch eat this stuff) never get sick. The hypothesis that our brains increased in size because of cooking is just conjecture. But saying that we cant eat raw meat is 100% incorrect. Also, the claim that other animals have some magical property that allows them to fight the bacteria in raw meat is in blatant contradiction to the people who eat rotten meat covered in bacteria every day and never get sick from it. Im not saying food poisoning isnt real, but if you have the right gut bacteria to digest these parasites, humans are just like any other animal. This is another area that science knows next to nothing about and is something that's been around for a long time but continues to be shunned by the mainstream bc its gross. Bunch of normie milksops

  5. How about we just eat quality protien quality healthy fats and some healthy high fiber whole grain carbs and beanst legumes in small amounts and fresh vegtables. Let's ditch most of white carbs and corn products and of course sugar. Now we think even the got damn vegtables are unhealthy?? Come on! Even if living on meat alone added 5 years to my life I dont want to be alive if i can never have real food.. even sugar or white carbs once in a great while.

  6. Don't get me wrong I am a big fan of meat but remove plants from diet seems dangerous long term (as in generations from now.) While these plant may contain toxins our consumption of them is what's preventing them from being lethal. In lamens terms a carnivore diet continued over generation will lead to even more food allergies.

  7. maybe since it is the ultimate elimination diet as you say at the end, it could be replaced by regular fasting? so that otherwise eating more than meat only becomes healthy and even healthier than this? maybe if they fasted altogether theyd heal even more?

  8. this is just confusing now. I completely healed my stage 4 osteoarthritis in the knee when i stopped eating meat. it was so bad several doctors agreed on the fact that i was in need of a full knee prothesis. i had it from age 14 to 28 when it got insanely bad.
    when i stopped eating meat it took 3 months and i could walk again. nowadays i am even squatting with weights and skiing without issues. my knee is aging backwards. and the only thing i did was cutting meat out of my nutrition.
    what is happening?

  9. The carnivore diet is one of the best things I have ever discovered. My blood labs, blood pressure and heart rate are optimal. I am stronger and feel better than I have in the past 20 years. I also eat flax seed.

Basically, if humans eat nothing but primate flesh, brains, spinal cords, and livers from other mammals (pig, dog, horse, cow, deer, cat, etc) we will have great bowel movements, no acne, and we'll lose 100 pounds? Wow, this is incredible. Who would have thought that our fellow animals are made of the same stuff we are?!? That doesn't mean we should eat them if we don't have to – and we don't have to.
